The magnificent freshly restored Choir wall or ‘Tour de Chœur’, of Chartres Cathedral. A richly worked stone screen adorned with intricately sculpted biblical scenes – The 12th century Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres) is considered 'one of the worlds finest examples of Gothic architecture' due to surviving largely intact, including the original glass, for over 800 years - It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
