Descent from the Cross by Peter Paul Rubens (1611) - Still on display in the position for which it was intended in the Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp. The enormous Roman Catholic church was begun by architects Jan and Pieter Appelmans in 1352, but has been ransacked and torched on several occasion's throughout the turbulent religious history of the Low Countries.
