The unusual wood construction of St Catherine’s church.
Honfleur in Calvados on the southern bank of the Seine estuary. Especially known for its old port, painted frequently by artists including Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, and Claude Monet forming the école de Honfleur (Honfleur school) of the Impressionist movement. The Sainte-Catherine church is the largest wooden church in France.
